The Summer Celebration

The Summer Celebration

The summer celebration only takes place during times of peace throughout Kime, and as such it has been 30 years since the last celebration. All tribes and factions gather together in Ielirus, which is the city located within the most central part of Kime. Ielirus is ruled over by a shadow organization that none of the current rulers, or kings, are fully aware of. This organization, though it has unknown goals, has not shown itself to be violent or seeking power, and as such is left to maintain the city.

The aura of the summer celebraion is intoxicating, and as many only get to participate once or twice in their lifetimes, it causes shortages of both food and workers from across Kime. To counteract this, each Kingdom has a reserve of food for when the summer celebration takes place.

The celebration has no set length and has been known to rage on for many months without any break in the excitement. From the nightly lantern and fireworks celebration to the feasts taking place all over the city, there is no shortage of things to do and experience for beings of all races and ages.

Any merchants who are lucky enough to find themselves traveling through Ielirus during the summer celebration are greeted with thousands of potential customers all spending their last dime to enjoy the celebration to its fullest.

Ielirus is the hub of trading throughout Kime and a sort of neutral location for treaties and agreements to be signed. It is generally the most prosperous place for merchants of all kinds to set up shop, but the traveling merchants always draw the largest crowds. While most of the population of Ielirus is incredibly wealthy, there are always those who are trying to improve their social standing and as such trying to find the newest, and most exotic wares that are available.
